Timothy D. Taylorは興味深い仕事をする研究者だ。
「戦後アヴァンギャルドとしての1950年代の電子音楽」ではなく「電子音」の社会化を、USAの広告業界のなかに探る、という論文。
乱暴にまとめると、60年代にRaymond Scott（"Moments of Freshness"）とEric Siday（"Identitiones"）というふたりの先駆者がいて、60年代後半から70年代前半のBernie KrauseやEdd Kalehoffを経て、70年代後半以降にSuzanne Ciani（"Poet of Sound"）が有名になる、という筋。
参照しやすい。Raymond ScottとBernie KrauseとEdd Kalehoff（映画MoogでMoogをビールのCMに使っていた人）は名前を知っていたが、ほかは知らなかった。
初めて「サウンド・ロゴ」を作ったのはEric Sidayである、とか。
勉強になった。
